About our organization
In February 2022, Mehrdad Ganji, Fatima Zahid and Marius Pettersen took the initiative to establish a new meeting place for youth in Oslo. What the founders had in common was a great commitment to youth work.
They founded AMIGO – Alternative meeting place in Old Oslo. The work done by AMIGO will be focused on prevention with young people aged 12-25 in Oslo by offering them jobs and activities, the organisation later changed it’s name to My AMIGO. The prevention will be done through activities that target mental health, drug problems, and poverty.
The organization will have a global perspective, working on development projects and ecological measures worldwide. A key goal for the organization will be facilitating exchange and sharing of experience across national borders and beyond wherever possible.
